Nix Looks Sharp in First NFL Game

Denver Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix got off to an excellent start in his preseason debut, finishing 6-of-11 for 73 yards and a touchdown. Nix looked sharp, showing off his arm strength and accuracy throughout the game. He led the Broncos on a 10-play, 75-yard touchdown drive in the second quarter, capping it off with a beautiful touchdown pass to wide receiver Kendall Hinton.

Could Nix Start Week 1?

Nix's performance has led to speculation that he could become the first rookie quarterback to start Week 1 for the Broncos since John Elway. While head coach Nathaniel Hackett has not yet named a starting quarterback, Nix has certainly made a strong case for himself with his impressive preseason debut.

The Broncos have a tough decision to make at quarterback, as they also have veteran Russell Wilson on the roster. Wilson has been a Pro Bowler nine times and has won a Super Bowl, but he struggled at times last season with the Seattle Seahawks. Nix's strong preseason performance could give the Broncos the confidence to hand him the starting job.
