Kate Winslet and Lee Miller Premiere "The Dressmaker"
On October 2, 2015, Kate Winslet and Lee Miller premiered their new film, "The Dressmaker," at the Toronto International Film Festival. The film is a comedy-drama about a woman who returns to her small town in Australia after 20 years to seek revenge on those who wronged her.
Winslet plays the lead role of Tilly Dunnage, a woman who was accused of murdering a local boy when she was 10 years old. Miller plays Sergeant Farrat, the police officer who investigates the murder.
The film also stars Liam Hemsworth, Hugo Weaving, and Sarah Snook. It was directed by Jocelyn Moorhouse and written by Moorhouse and P.J. Hogan.
Alexander Skarsgård Joins Cast of "The Northman"
On October 5, 2015, it was announced that Alexander Skarsgård had joined the cast of "The Northman," a historical epic film directed by Robert Eggers. The film is based on the legend of Amleth, a Viking prince who seeks revenge for the murder of his father.
Skarsgård will play the lead role of Amleth. The film also stars Nicole Kidman, Willem Dafoe, and Anya Taylor-Joy.
The film is scheduled to be released in 2018.
