Verstappen Claims Record-Equaling Consecutive Triumph
Silverstone, England - Max Verstappen produced a dominant performance to win the 2023 Formula 1 Aramco British Grand Prix, further extending Red Bull's astonishing winning streak to 11 consecutive races.
Verstappen, who started from pole position, lost the lead to Lando Norris on the opening lap but quickly regained it and established a comfortable advantage. The Dutchman cruised to victory, securing his sixth win of the season and a record-equaling 11th straight triumph for Red Bull.
Behind Verstappen, the battle for the remaining podium positions was intense. Norris held off Sergio Perez for second place, while Lewis Hamilton secured a hard-fought third place for Mercedes. Fernando Alonso and George Russell rounded out the top five.
The victory consolidates Verstappen's lead in the Drivers' Championship, while Red Bull strengthens its grip on the Constructors' Championship. The Formula 1 season continues with the Hungarian Grand Prix on July 30, where Verstappen will aim to extend his winning run to an unprecedented 12 races.
