Manchester City forward Julian Alvarez is set to start for Argentina in Sunday's Copa America final against Colombia.

The 21-year-old has been in impressive form for his country in this tournament, scoring three goals in four appearances, including the opener in Tuesday's 2-0 semi-final victory over Ecuador.

Alvarez's form has earned him the backing of Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni, who is expected to name him in his starting XI ahead of veteran striker Sergio Aguero.

Argentina are bidding to win their first Copa America title since 1993, while Colombia are looking to win the tournament for the first time.
